Baltic Wood, a manufacturer of wooden floors, has joined the group of sponsors of the International Sports Festival Jasło 2017. In addition, the company has crafted the honorary podium for the winners of the games. This is another of the brand’s projects implemented as part of the corporate social responsibility.
On June 16-18, 2017, the town of Jasło hosted the International Sports Festival – one of the most important and biggest sporting events in the region, bringing together more than 700 participants from Poland and Europe. The competitions were attended by youths from 40 teams representing several countries, including England, Germany, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belarus, Albania, Ukraine and Poland. The rationale behind the annual event is to exchange and integrate young people from European countries, and to build social and cultural links centred around sporting ideas. Baltic Wood, a manufacturer of wooden floors from Jasło, supported the event as one of the main sponsors. What’s more, the company designed an honorary podium for the participants and winners. The platform on which the best sportsmen in particular events were awarded distinctions and medals had been made entirely of natural wood.
– Sport is an important sphere in the life of society. Supporting projects targeted at youth, encouraging them to pursue sporting passions, choose healthy forms of rest and active leisure pursuits are a particularly vital area of our activity, undertaken with corporate social responsibility in mind ¬¬– says Rafał Zawierucha, President of the Board of Directors at Baltic Wood. – We hope that our commitment has translated into the success of this year’s edition of the event, promoting the town of Jasło in Poland and all over the world.
