How to preserve the beauty of the floor for many years?

The Baltic Wood floors are made out of 100% wood, which is a natural material. To maintain the best shape of your wood floor for many years, follow some straightforward guidelines:

Make sure you use doormats – a mixture of sand and water carried on shoe soles acts as sandpaper. Doormats placed at entrance and terrace doors effectively protect the floor against damage.

Use floor protection furniture pads – chair and furniture legs can scratch the floor and so you would be well-advised to use felt protective pads for any piece of furniture; for swivel chairs use hardwood floor casters.

Maintain the air humidity level of about 30-60% and the temperature of 20°C. In winter when the humidity drops, use an air humidifier.

How to clean and maintain varnished wood floor?

If your wood floor is varnished, remember to dust it with a special parquet brush or sweep it with a soft-bristle broom. Occasionally and depending on the amount of dirt, the floor should be washed with a damp cloth and some cleaning agent.

How to clean and maintain oiled wood floor?

It is highly recommended that an oiled floor is properly cared for from the very beginning. Proper cleaning agents should be used. Parquet should be regularly swept with a soft-bristle broom or vacuumed with a special brush attachment.

Every now and then, the floor should be mopped with a damp cloth and
a proper cleaning agent which puts on a special protective layer. It will provide an extra safeguard against damage as well as wear and tear.
