What is a three-layer board made of?

Three-layer wood

The noble wood surface layer
of about 3.6 mm (0.14 in.) is covered with special wood filler and then six coats of BONA AB highest quality varnish are applied. Each of the thin varnish coats is factory UV-hardened and thus the wearlayer becomes accurately protected against damage. Still, there is no thick film of varnish. It is minimally thin, but at the same time very flexible and durable.

The middle layer

of about 8.9 mm (0.35 in.) is made of transversal spruce slats, which strengthen floor flexibility.

The bottom layer
of about 1.5 mm (0.6 in.) is made of uniform spruce veneer, which stabilizes and stiffens the whole construction.

The Baltic Wood floors are available in the form of a full plank or a three-strip plank. The full plank is particularly presentable in large spaces, where it can be properly exposed. The three-strip plank is suitable for both large and small spaces.
