SILVER QUALITY OF THE YEAR and QUALITY OF THE YEAR 2011 for Baltic Wood!

Baltic Wood has once more been lauded by the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification. In the 4th edition of Poland's largest national Quality Promotion Programme, the manufacturer of three-layer engineered hardwood flooring was honoured with a double title: SILVER QUALITY OF THE YEAR and QUALITY OF THE YEAR 2011.

Baltic Wood was taking part in the renowned QUALITY OF THE YEAR competition for the second time. Last year's submission resulted in the ECO QUALITY OF THE YEAR 2010 prize, awarded for the company's Ecology Management System.

During the 4th year of the contest Baltic Wood was awarded a double title:

SILVER QUALITY OF THE YEAR & QUALITY OF THE YEAR 2011

The jury of outstanding experts awarded the distinction to the Polish manufacturer, taking into consideration:
- effective implementation of the quality policy adopted;
- care to ensure the highest quality of products and services;
- a positive reception of the company's activities by customers, employees and the social environment;
- clarity of the procedures applied ensuring the company efficient functioning;
- a high degree of staff commitment to achieving quality targets;
- efficient management of the organisation;
- constant striving to optimise work.

Katarzyna Dobrowolska, manager of Baltic Wood's Marketing and PR Dept., points out, "the titles won have particular significance for the company. Top quality is, after all, one of Baltic Wood's six priority pillars on which all the company's processes are based. The awards obtained are thus a gratification and additional confirmation of Baltic Wood's constant striving to maintain the highest standard of production and satisfy the needs of even the most demanding customers.

It is worth emphasising that the highest European standards of production and quality control in Baltic Wood are confirmed by the ISO 9001 certificate. The latest generation floor is manufactured in a technologically advanced factory. Computerised wood selection and laser measuring are backed up by an additional verification of the process by specialists. The above average quality of the floors is also attested by the 30-year warranty.

The QUALITY OF THE YEAR competition was founded 7 years ago. The mastermind and organiser is the Public PR agency of Katowice, publisher of Biznes Raport which appears in the Gazeta Prawna newspaper, with substantial support from the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification S.A., the oldest Polish state institution dealing with quality matters (operating since 1958).
