To maintain the best shape of your wood floor for many years, follow these straightforward guidelines:
Make sure you use doormats – a mixture of sand and water carried
on shoe soles acts as sandpaper. Doormats placed at exterior doors effectively protect the floor against damage.
Use floor protection furniture pads – chair and furniture legs can scratch the floor. Use felt protective pads for any piece of furniture; for swivel chairs use hardwood floor casters.
Always install a humidifier after purchasing a wood floor and keep the humidity level between 30° and 60°.
If your wood floor is varnished, remember to dust it with a special brush or sweep it with a soft-bristle broom. Occasionally and depending
on the amount of dirt, the floor should be washed with a damp cloth
and some cleaning agent.
